You’ve spent your money on them and you carry it like another organ of your body. You know it’s expensive but you love it and that’s why you carry your digital camera with you always.
Now, it’s quite possible that your camera can get scratches and get used up in the long run. Especially with traveling people and people who are in to travel photography, wild life photography and landscape photography.

So what are the things you should take care of to protect your camera from dust and scratches?
1 - Use a pouch or camera carry bag while traveling. Never carry it by hand.
2 - Use a lens cleaner to clean the lens regularly. Do not use stray cloth.
3 - Do not leave the camera in places where there is excessive shake.
4 - Do not place the camera in dusty situations.
5 - Do not click photos in heavy wind.
6 - Use an umbrella or protection while clicking photos in excessive sunshine.
7 - Clean the surface of the camera in ridges with proper cleaning liquid.
8 - Do not touch the lens or the optics of the camera.
9 - Never let liquid pass into the camera like coke or drinks.
10 - Always strap the camera to your body and never let it fall down accidentally.
Follow the above steps always, never let camera stay away from you. Carry it like your friend takiing care of it always.

Thanks for your tips in securing digital camera. Be aware of your surroundings. I always give a quick look around before I pull my camera out. Even then, I wrap the strap around my wrist a couple of times before the camera leaves my bag.
